Give

Your gift is an artist’s fee.

Fifty-eight cents of every direct program dollar in the 2027 budget is paid to an artist. The rest is the room, the lights and the printing it takes to put them in front of an audience.

Before you give

Where our tax status actually stands

Central Florida Queer Arts Initiative, Inc. is a Florida not-for-profit corporation, Florida document N26000011873, formed August 24, 2026, federal EIN 42-5043735.

Our application for recognition as a 501(c)(3) public charity is pending with the IRS. It has not been granted yet. We have asked for recognition effective August 24, 2026, the date the corporation was formed. If the IRS grants it, gifts made from that date forward are expected to be deductible as charitable contributions. If it is denied, they will not be. We will write to every donor either way.

We would rather tell you this plainly than let you find out at tax time. If deductibility matters to your giving, you are welcome to wait for the determination letter, and we will tell you the moment it arrives.

We are registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services under the Solicitation of Contributions Act, registration number CH85270, valid through September 21, 2027.

Florida registration CH85270. A COPY OF THE OFFICIAL REGISTRATION AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE DIVISION OF CONSUMER SERVICES BY CALLING TOLL-FREE WITHIN THE STATE, 1-800-HELP-FLA (1-800-435-7352), OR VISITING www.FloridaConsumerHelp.com. REGISTRATION DOES NOT IMPLY ENDORSEMENT, APPROVAL, OR RECOMMENDATION BY THE STATE.

What it buys

Real line items from the 2027 budget

$400 The entire marketing budget for the Artist Development Intensive, the free four-session series in May.
$750 One teaching artist leading one session of that series, paid properly.
$1,000 One of the four commissions in First Light: a new short work, made and premiered in March.

Sponsorship

For businesses

A qualified sponsorship gets your name on the program, the signage and the stage, and tickets for your team. We build the package against what you want out of it rather than a fixed menu.

One caveat we will raise before you do: a sponsorship cannot be an advertising buy dressed up as a gift, and we will not structure it that way. We will tell you which parts are acknowledgement and which, if any, are advertising, and what that means for your deduction.
